Welcome to the NEAR Food Shelf
NEAR will be closed on Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day.

To schedule a same day food pick up appointment:

- Call our main number at 763-533-2836
between the hours of 9AM - 12PM (Noon) and select line 1.

- Food pickup appointments are scheduled between

1:00PM to 4:20PM Monday - Friday.

- Clients may visit NEAR twice a month.

- Open Your Heart Summer Challenge - July 1 - 31, 2024

In partnership with Hunger Solutions / The Food Group, the Open Your Heart Summer Challenge aims to boost food shelves in MN when they need it most. During the summer months, financial donations to food shelves are traditionally low and this summer the need is even greater. The distribution of funds from this grant is based on the total funds raised by each participating food shelf in July and the number of food shelves involved. Please consider making a financial donation in July to help us earn even more in 2024!!

- Multiple ways to donate to NEAR:

1. Mail a check to Near Food Shelf, 5209 West Broadway Ave., Crystal, MN 55429.

2. Make an electronic donation via the Give to the Max icon on the left side of the Home Page.

Crystal Frolics in Crystal:
Thursday -Sunday, July 25th - 28th

Local businesses and organizations will be collecting non-perishable food items and funds for the NEAR and PRISM food shelves!

Ongoing giving is needed! Please consider donating to NEAR to help us serve the needs of our community.

- Donate Food –

o Collect shelf stable food and non-food items.

o Here are a few suggestions of items needed most: Spaghetti noodles and sauce, Cereal, Macaroni & Cheese, Soup, Peanut Butter, Jelly/Jam and personal products.

o Drop off donations at NEAR’s receiving door from 8AM – 10:30AM, Monday through Friday. Any questions, please call us at 763-533-2836, line 2.
