Any individuals or families with food needs are eligible for support. Clients can visit NEAR once a month.

Thank You for Supporting NEAR Through the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive on Saturday, May 10—the nation’s largest one-day food collection, led by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Special thanks to the letter carriers from the Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Center Post Office Stations, who collected food donations along their delivery routes.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, NEAR received a total of 5,943 pounds of food—more than double the amount collected in 2024! These donations will make a tremendous difference for local families who rely on our food shelf.
A special thank-you goes out to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to collect the food. Your efforts truly brought this event to life.
Your support is what allows us to continue serving neighbors in need. Whether you donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word—we thank you.

NEAR has remodeled the food shelf and transitioned from providing pre-packed shopping carts of food to giving clients the opportunity to utilize a Shoppers Choice Model. With the new format clients can choose the food that they want.
To achieve this goal, we had to remodel most of our interior space. Click below to see this exciting transformation!!
